Hello,
how are your plans turning into reality? Did you find some time to write a bit for your blog?
I’m back home (as planned 😉 ) and have finished cleaning my equipment. And I’m thinking what to improve next time.

Hi Jochen,
Great to here from you… How was your trip? Did you do the trip you had in mind? I’m at the moment in Budapest, and leaving tomorrow to Belgrade. Following the Danube and the taking the Iron Curtain Trail.I will post some stuff today on the blog. Take care and thanks for sharing the road a couple of days

The trip? Better than planned 🙂
Along the Main-Danube-channel, there are some parts of its predecessor remaining and I followed that one for some kilometers.

But I think I’ll cycle a bit less kilometers per day next time, because I noticed that on some days, I took very few photos.
How did the route work that I recommended to get to the Danube?
Do you need some pictures and a description of my bike and the luggage or did you plan to just show photos of people and their bikes?

Hi Jochen,
I still had some distance to travel after we said goodbye. Had to cross some hills before I arrived at Fonsbach, where I camped for the night. I biked for a total of 123 km that day. But I had a pleasant ride. The next day I went direction east and took the eurovelo 9 that led me to Donauwörth. From that point I start following the eurovelo 6 route.
I plan only to show pictures of the people I traveled with. To keep it simple. If you want, I can post a description of your setup. The information can come handy for other people how want to start touring, specially if they are still thinking about traveling with or without a trailer.
Keep safe and keep pushing those pedals.
Saludos,
H

Hi Buca,
It was great camping nearby the Grlisko Lake. The day after I stayed a while at the village talking with one of the locals. I must say, the route I followed through Kalna, Bela Palanka, Babusnica, Crna Trava and up to the Vlasina Lake, have been so far the highlight of my trip. The mountain was hard to climb but the landscapes very beautiful. It was very gratifying to bike there.
Thank you again for taking the time to talk to me and showing me the surroundings. I really appreciate that.
Saludos and all the best
